Join us at the Layered Studio for a for a cake decorating class! In this class we will decorate a 6” cake in a beautiful piped design with decor. All materials and tools needed to create this cake will be provided by us. Simply show up ready to have fun!In this class, we will cover:
The fundamentals of working with buttercream, including our tips and tricks on how to get the silkiest buttercream ever, how temperature is key to a smooth finish, and our recommendations on Swiss meringue vs. American buttercream
How to properly frost a cake in a smooth buttercream finish
How to use one piping tip to create three different piped designs
How to apply cake decor and dried flowers/leaves
Also included in this class:
snacks, desserts, and non-alcoholic beverages to give us the energy we need to decorate our hearts out!
A 6-inch cake - flavor TBD- that is ready to be decorated by YOU
A cake box to bring your creation home in (our cakes freeze well so you can pop the box in your freezer until you are ready to eat or gift it!)
