THE AWAKENING OF THE ANTS El despertar de las hormigas Dir. Antonella Sudasassi. Costa Rica. 2020. 94min. The Awakening of the Ants is a feminist drama directed by Antonella Sudasassi about Isa, a young seamstress and mother overwhelmed by domestic life. Pressured by her family and husband to have a third child (a boy) she begins a quiet but powerful rebellion against traditional expectations.
