Sol y Luna (In-Person Event)

Get creative and get your hands dirty while creating beautiful clay art!

If you’ve ever been fascinated by the mystery and symbolism between the sun and the moon, this program is just for you! ICS Health Home and CMO members will be gathering to create sun/moon clay wall sculptures using self-hardening clay. Design pieces with paint and finish them with Modpodge. Create what you envision while having a fun afternoon with friends!

Important note: ICS Health Home and CMO members must provide mandatory proof of vaccination and must wear masks at all times. Those who do not will be turned away. Those who attend may bring one guest only. Program is limited to 12 members only due to space limitations. Program will take place at ICS’ Brooklyn office.

Instructor information:

Frances Perrone

Frances holds a BS in Fine Art from SUNY New Paltz with a concentration in ceramics and art education. She directed a major New York City-based art school for adults called the Craft Students League for nearly six years while running the Elsa Mott Ives Gallery at the former YWCA in midtown Manhattan. Throughout her 25-year career in the arts, she has focused on creating and implementing arts programs, events and collaborations, working with organizations including the Museum of Arts and Design, Urban Glass, Federation Employment and Guidance Service (FEGS), The Creative Center for People with Cancer, Elder Craftsmen and Independence Care System (ICS). Frances currently designs and teaches a variety of art classes to adults with physical disabilities at ICS and works as a teaching artist in New York City’s public schools including district 75 and inclusion classrooms. She is on the teaching rosters for Marquis Studios and Life Time Aging.
