Retrouvez-nous le jeudi 23 mars à l’Alliance Française Ottawa pour une soirée belge exceptionnelle autour du peintre René Magritte ! Cette soirée vous est offerte en partenariat avec l’Ambassade de Belgique à l’occasion du mois de la Francophonie. ??À 18h00 aura lieu un club de lecture autour du livre Les Folles enquêtes de Magritte et Georgette – nom d’une pipe ! de Nadine Monflis. Suivez le peintre belge et son épouse dans une série d’enquêtes inédites.
Après le club de lecture, retrouvez une conférence d'histoire de l'art sur l'une des œuvres de René Magritte : « La Condition Humaine », peinture à l’huile créée en 1933. Cette conférence est tenue par l’historien de l’art Gilbert Balsamo qui vous fera découvrir cette œuvre avec pédagogie !

At 6:00 pm, a book club will be held around the book Les Folles enquêtes de Magritte et Georgette - nom d'une pipe ! by Nadine Monflis. Follow the Belgian painter and his wife in a series of unique investigations.
After the book club, discover an exceptional art history conference which will focus on one of René Magritte's works: "The Human Condition", an oil painting created in 1933. This conference is held by art historian Gilbert Balsamo, who will help you discover this work with pedagogy!
