About this Event
We are excited to invite you to participate in a half a day workshop hosted by Anglia Innovation Partnership LLP at Norwich Research Park during AgriTechE Week in November.
The workshop will provide a creative format for academic researchers, farmers and industry professionals to jointly explore challenges and develop innovative real-world solutions related to soil microbiome and soil health. We aim to explore the possibility of developing ground-breaking technology for assessing soil conditions and microbiome ecosystem in real-time outside the confines of a laboratory setting.
Overview
This event provides an invaluable opportunity for researchers to gain insights into industry challenges, and for farmers and businesses to access the latest knowledge and capabilities from the research community at Norwich Research Park. We will explore the current demand for microbial solutions in soil ecosystems, the development and application of these solutions.
Our objective is to identify overlapping ‘sweet spots’ where both academic and industry perspectives align, leading to the identification of key challenges and opportunities to develop future applications to improve the soil microbiome and soil health.
The first part of the workshop will cover plenary talks from research expertise of Norwich Research Park who will share their research area in the field of soil microbiome and soil health. The second half will be creative session design to explore the following themes.
· Current Needs for Microbial Solutions: Examination of the demand for microbial solutions in soil ecosystems and how these solutions are being developed and applied.
· Environmental Restoration: Strategies to mitigate or reverse environmental damage by restoring and protecting healthy soil ecosystems.
· Scientific and Technological Advances: Discussion on the potential for new biotechnological advancements in soil microbiome engineering and soil health.
· Interdisciplinary Approach: Exploring the mechanism to work together e.g., funding.
