Soil: A journaling & poetry workshop
About this Event
There are moments when you know something is going on, but you cannot quite name it.
You feel overwhelmed, emotionally tangled, disconnected from yourself, or unsure of what you actually want. You keep moving through your days without having the space to stop and listen to what is happening inside you.
Journaling creates that space.
It helps close the gap between experiencing your life and understanding your life. When you put your thoughts, feelings, questions, and experiences into words, you begin to see what has been difficult to hear in your own head.
And sometimes, you cannot say it plainly.
Sometimes what you feel comes out as an image, a memory, a few scattered words, or a sentence you did not know you were carrying.
Journaling gives those things somewhere to go.
SOIL is a space to slow down, write, and come back to yourself.
Through guided journaling and poetry prompts, we will make space for the things that have been sitting beneath the surface. The things you have been feeling but have not had words for. The thoughts you keep returning to. The parts of yourself you may have gotten used to ignoring.
You do not need to be “good” at journaling or poetry. You do not need to have anything figured out.
You just need somewhere to begin.
