About this Event
Come to City Mill for a free, talk story about soil health and maintenance with the University of Hawaii’s College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR/Urban Garden Center. Limited spots available. Please reserve one ticket per person.
Event Overview: Talk story with Tina Lau, Junior Extension Agent, University of Hawaii Urban Garden Center. During this hour-long session we will discuss:
- Selecting the right seed for your climate and disease resistance
- Starting plants from seed in starter trays
- Potting mix amendments in bags
- Fertilizers: organic vs. inorganic
- Transplanting seedlings from small to larger pot
- Appropriate container size
Tina will also be available for a Q&A following the talk, so be sure to bring your questions to get live answers from an expert.
