Softrak Demonstration Day

A demonstration day to showcase the capabilities of the Softrak 75 Cut and Collect system and its use in reserve management of wetland environments.

WWT intend to use the Softrak alongside conservation grazing, carried out by Blue Carbon Farming who currently use the No Fence collar system to graze the saltmarsh.

Both the Softrak and No Fence collars demonstrated have been funded by DEFRA’s Species Survival Fund, administrated by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The day will be supported with a capability brief and Q&A from a representative from Loglogik who manufacture the Softrak 75. Blue Carbon Farming will also deliver a talk on their experience of using No Fence collars to graze cattle on the saltmarsh at Steart.
