Soft Pace and Portable Dogs Duo return to Fylkingen — this time bringing friends along. I Ghepardi and Catbeats join the bill for a night that drifts between the tender and the strange.
Soft Pace is a duo formed by Francesco Torelli and Ivan Kim, united by a shared love of collaboration and endless creativity. Their music carries the warmth of childhood nostalgia — like lingering at an endless family dinner, swapping stories, unwinding in front of a motorsports race on TV. It's a feeling of drifting in and out of space, where time slows down. Close your eyes, and you'll find yourself inside the soft pace.
I Ghepardi live across Asia, Africa, and the province of Cuneo (IT). They're among the few cats that can purr, and also the fastest animals in the world — a cheetah can hit speeds of up to 100 km/h (62 mph), but only for a few seconds at a time. After that burst of effort, they're too worn out to eat their K*ll, and hyenas — the savanna's bullies — steal it instead. They hunt by day and don't run in packs, but when there are two of them together, they make Savanna Indie-Pop.
Portable Dogs Duo is a Stockholm-based duo featuring Rupert Edwards & David Richardson. They make improvised-weirdo-instrumental electronic music with cowboy overtones.
Catbeats is a lo-fi chill-hop project rooted in tiny machines and naive melodies. Early recordings were made almost entirely on a Teenage Engineering OP-1, later layered with a bass guitar once owned by Fugazi's Joe Lally. The sound floats somewhere between Nintendo's Animal Crossing, Air, and El Huervo — warm, nostalgic, and curious.
