SOFSA's Second Annual Food Justice Gathering

The 2nd Annual Food Justice Gathering follows up on last year's Gathering hosted by the (SOFSA). This year's theme, Building Resilience, invites us to think about how cultivating interdependence, shared wisdom, and abundance enables us to meet the challenges ahead. The Gathering will be a space to come together and share about the work we do together to strengthen, connect, and reshape our food system.

We will feature panels, interactive workshops, roundtable discussions, cooking demonstrations, a catered lunch, space for creating art, tabling, and more! Our keynote speaker is Cheyenne Sundance, Black farmer in the Toronto area and food justice advocate; in addition to Cheyenne, we will be gathering local leaders from Syracuse, Onondaga County, and Onondaga Nation who are paving the way for a more just food system.

Childcare and ASL interpretation will be provided; please register so we can plan for the appropriate supports. Other language interpretation may be available upon request. The venue is ADA compliant with a ramp entrance and elevator. Space for breast/chestfeeding is available. SOFSA follows the public health guidance of local, state, and federal authorities when planning our events. Masking is welcome but not required. Please include any other accommodation requests in your event registration form.
