Sofia Garcia

Singer-songwriter Sofia Garcia is getting ready to celebrate her DEBUT single release, Higher Than High with you on December 3rd at 9pm! Recorded during quarantine, "Higher Than High" is aimed to express that love for love. That desire to be close to someone and rid each other of the boundaries that limit us. Just as the single, Sofia will be working to bring her love for love to you but this time performing on The Cutting Room stage for the first time alongside a full band!

Sofia has been performing her blends of folk/pop/indie sounds in New York City since her time at LaGuardia High School. There, her New Music Ensemble director Robert Apostle helped introduce her to the world of songwriting and solo contemporary performance! After graduating, she spent 2 years working, independently studying, and dedicating her time solely to songwriting in Bogotà, Colombia. She then began her studies at The New School at both the Liberal Arts and Performing Arts Colleges!

In October, Sofia had the opportunity to perform a week-long engagement at the Bern Jazz Festival in Switzerland leading the Sofia Garcia Quartet! She also had the opportunity to perform backup vocals on the Madison Square Garden stage. Higher Than High will be released on December 10th, 2021
