The 2024 Soctoberfest celebration continues at the Midwest Invitational Tournament on Saturday & Sunday, October 19th & 20th. Fort Wayne Sport Club, located at 3102 Ardmore Ave in Fort Wayne, will host both events. This year marks the 19th anniversary of our Soctoberfest.
The fun continues with men’s Over-30, Over-40, Over-50 and Over-60 Veterans’ games beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday featuring the Fort Wayne Sport Club taking on visiting teams from around the region featuring teams from Toledo, Dayton, Dearborn (MI) and Indianapolis. These games should be both fun and competitive.
The evening will continue with German-themed food, including brats with sauerkraut, chili, curly fries and hamburgers along with fun and refreshing beverages inside the Clubhouse. Great draft beers are also available at the Fort Wayne Sport Club bar including Michelob Ultra, Stella Artois, Weihenstephan, Hofbrau Dunkel, Hofbrau Oktoberfest, Franzishaner Weissbier, Spaten, Kona Big Wave, Hop River Lazers in the Jungle IPA and Modelo Especial, (all subject to change). Many fine bottled beers are also available at the full-service bar.
The games will continue outdoors on Sunday starting at 1:00 p.m. Please plan on attending to watch the Sport Club teams compete as well as enjoying some food and German beer. Volunteers are always needed and appreciated.
