ÖAG is offering a regular English discussion group under the title SOCRATES CAFÉ. There are Socrates Café meetings all over the world. If you would like more information about the idea behind the Socrates Café movement and learn about some of the topics we have discussed, please email me at [email protected] and request an information sheet.Our purpose is to engage in a lively exchange of ideas.
The format: discussions in a public venue, where topics are not dictated by a facilitator but are chosen by the attendees. People come with their burning questions, and the first few minutes are devoted to making a list of suggested topics.
In the first round of voting, people vote for as many topics as they find interesting. Usually, the top three topics are voted on in the second round, where everyone can only vote for one.
If you’re interested in learning more and engaging in a friendly discussion, come to our next meeting and tell your friends. And please bring questions you are interested in discussing.
When? —> Wednesday, May 8, 2024, 6:00 – 8:00 PM
Where? —> Bar at the Park Hotel, Leonhardstraße 8 (walk past the reception desk, past a seating area in the back part of the lobby, and up a couple of steps).
Bring your burning questions.
Those coming by car can park in the hotel parking lot.
