In partnership with the I Stand With Immigrants Initiative, powered by FWD.us, Immigrant Food is hosting an outdoor evening speaking event called "Social Justice: How do I get Involved?" where we will discuss real ways all of us can be advocates for immigrants. Join a conversation with Maria Praeli (Government Relations Manager, FWD.us) and Téa Ivanovic (Chief Operating Officer, Immigrant Food), and representatives from Immigrant Food's five NGO partners.
The event will center on activism in the immigration space and how we can all make a difference. During this event, we will provide a platform for Immigrant Food's impact partners: five of Washington's best in class immigrant-service NGOs (APALRC, AsylumWorks, Ayuda, CAIR Coalition, and CARECEN) who will be present and speak.
The first 10 sign ups will receive a free 'I AM AN IMMIGRANT' hoodie at the event! Tickets at the door will be $12.
Part of the proceeds from this event will go towards our five NGO partners.
