Social Justice and Art Panel TalkSunday, November 16 at 2 PM • Free
Join us for a thought-provoking conversation exploring the intersections of art, community, and social justice. This panel brings together two acclaimed Louisiana artists—Ron Bechet and Malaika Favorite—whose work engages deeply with themes of history, identity, and cultural memory. Together, they will reflect on how art can both document and shape lived experiences, spark dialogue, and inspire change. This program will be moderated by Brandon V. Lewis, Executive Director of The Helis Foundation John Scott Center.
This program invites audiences to consider the powerful role artists play in raising awareness, challenging perspectives, and fostering connections across communities. A Q&A will follow the discussion.
This program is sponsored by Gerri Hobdy / Pleroma LLC.
