What an experience. After a 10-minute train ride just outside Vienna proper, we'll hit the fields and seek out a small creek heading East, passing two villages and one lovely town famous for its brewery. Low-flying planes hint at the proximity of an airport. Growing in size, the creek yet leads us in a different direction through thick forests and water preservation areas. Nearing its confluence, we'll take a shortcut through the wetlands and arrive at the banks of the majestic Danube river, where we walk upstream along pole-elevated fishing cabins. Arriving at a small grain harbor, a local bus & train takes us back to Vienna Main Station.
