My name is Lisa Trujillo and I am a Certified Social Emotional Arts facilitator.

Now I am bringing all of these skills to Front Porch Gallery in a Social Emotional Arts workshop where you can connect with people in your community, create something special, and share your experience in a safe place. My hope is that you will leave my workshop having made some new friends and talking about what a fabulous time you had!

Join us for a fun workshop inspired by the famous New York street artist Jean-Michel Basquiat who appropriated drawing with painting, and married text and image to create his epic works of art. We will make it easy by using simple figures and focusing on our core values with Mixed media technique.

This is a free workshop for those who like to create and connect. Come be part of a process centered mixed art experience. You will listen to music, interact with group members, practice mindfulness, create a project and participate in a self-reflective exercise. You don’t have to be an artist. Just bring your authentic self.

The Social Emotional Arts Program aims to improve quality of life through the creative process by integrating the benefits of the arts with an opportunity for self-reflection in a safe setting.

We’re often asked how we can offer such high-quality classes and programs completely free of charge. The answer is simple: we’re fortunate to have the Front Porch Communities Foundation that underwrites the cost, making these opportunities accessible to everyone in our community. Each class is valued at $50 per person, and we pay our talented teachers to bring their expertise to you.

However, this free access comes with responsibility. When someone signs up but doesn’t attend, it not only takes away a spot from someone else who might want to participate, but it also affects our ability to continue offering these programs.

To ensure we can keep providing these unique and rare opportunities, we kindly ask that you follow through when you sign up. If something comes up and you can’t make it, please cancel your RSVP as soon as possible so someone else can take your spot and we can accurately monitor participation.
