Here’s how Social Dance 201 works:
A song comes on. You’ve never heard it before. Neither has your partner. You have no routine, no choreography, and no idea what’s coming next.
And then you dance.
That’s it. That’s the class.
Using the tools of social partner dancing, you and your partner figure it out together — in real time, to whatever the music asks for. Some moments will be brilliant. Some will fall apart completely. All of it counts as dancing.
Social Dance 201 is for anyone who wants to find out what they’re actually capable of on a dance floor.
There is no script, there is no routine, just two people and a random song.
Social Dance 101 experience is encouraged but not required. If you’re willing to try, you’re ready.
Partners rotate throughout so you’ll dance with everyone in the room. Every pairing is different. Every song is a new challenge.
Come to Social Dance 101 at 6:15p and stay for 201 at 7:15p — both classes for $25.
