Saher's Story:
"Saher Georges was born on January 18, 1983, in Baghdad Iraq. In 1994 Saher moved to the United States with his parents. Saher had a heart of gold. He was a generous and giving person, if you said to him, "Saher I like your shoes man," he would take them off and give them to you. He brought joy and laughter into everyone's life. He was loved by everyone who surrounded him. At the tender age of 23, Saher decided to work with the US Marines as an interpreter in his homeland of Iraq. Saher was a caring and sympathetic young man, he touched the lives of Iraqi civilians and put them at ease from their fear. His Marine family loved and respected him.
Tragically on August 29, 2006, Saher was killed by a suicide car bomb in Ramadi, Iraq. This catastrophic event left his family with a hole in their hearts....no one has been the same since that day. A light in everyone's eyes was blown out. Saher is survived by his son Brandon Clanton, Mother, Khalida Georges, Brothers Sameh, Samer Georges and nephew Salwan Georges. May God rest your soul Saher, not a day goes by that we don't think of you or talk about you.... we cry, we laugh, we smile but we never forget...."
