BBQ Time! Yeah, I know this is super late, but not so late you can’t attend. It’s time for the SoCal BME BBQ! We are going to meet at the same place (Presidio Park, in Mission Hills) at some he same time (10 am on…I’ll be there). This is going to be mega casual…a meet and greet. We’ll be sharing new ink and piercings, I’m sure. But what we always have is a ton of laughter, some super fun games, good food (BYOF, but if you can bring something to share), rib-crushing hugs, and an abundance of love. I expect to see all of the “Family,” but we positively *adore* meeting new friends, and are VERY welcoming and a non-clique close group. Please bring something to sit on, something to hydrate with, games (we love games) we can play, stuff you sell (we are very craft/art positive, so bring cash if you’d like to), sunscreen, cover like pop up’s (every year we have have cover city…lol), schwag to hand out, toys (anything), cameras (as always, please forward the pictures to me and Tiffany to post to BME and archive), and gigantic hugs for David and Tiffany (the hosts) as David is renowned for his bear hugs and loves you VERY MUCH. If you have any questions or ideas, please get in contact with us and we will try to accommodate. Please keep in mind that there are bathrooms, but the are a tiny walk away, and all glass is forbidden, so bring plastic. The other thing is smoking. Don’t do it. Full stop. The Parks Service is militant about smoking anywhere in the park(including the street). Ummmmm…those are the rules. There are a few more, but you can ask (just give us a heads up if you are planing some kind of mod there). All of that said, we are really looking forward to seeing y’all, both long-time attendees (some have come for more than 20 (!) years) and new friends and aficionados of body mods of all kinds! See you soon!P. S. We are VERY kid-positive. Feel free to blow off baby sitting charges and bring your ankle biters. But you need to be the sole provider of control. We are also dog positive. David *loves* pups! But only bring them if they are (a) people friendly ALL of the time and (b) friendly to other pets at all times. You must be the sole provider of care and supervision. We’ve had problems in the past, and we don’t want to spoil anyone’s safety and fun.
