Get active with Soca Sundays! Join our high energy Soca Sundays class and ignite your passion for movement with infectious rhythms of Soca music led by King Kayak! Dive into a fusion of fun dance and exhilarating cardio, as we groove to beats from vibrant island cultures. Get ready to sweat, smile , and feel the pulse of the Caribbean in every step!

King Kayak

A professional artist,Dancer/ Choreographer and entrepreneur born and raised in Carriacou, Grenada, West Indies, Wendell Bullen aka King Kayak started training in Dance as soon as he moved to New York City. Well versatile, Wendell has trained in Hip Hop (Breaking, Popping, Locking and Waving), Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Street Jazz, Salsa, African and Dancehall in NYC’s most accredited dance institutions. Those institutions include Steps on Broadway, The Door led by Anthony Rodriguez, Broadway Dance Center (via an awarded scholarship program) and an extensive ballet training program through Obediah Wright’s ballet dance intensive. 

Wendell has worked with a number of industry professionals and performed at many charity events to give back to various communities; some of which hosted by Danny Glover, Dr.Oz, and Nick Cannon and Many others.

You can also see him appearing in many different  Music videos,World Tours, TV shows and ad campaigns for various brands. Some  music videos included artists such as Janet Jackson , Farruko, Fabulous , Davido and so many others. Some of the TV shows includes; Latenight with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Impractical Jokers, and BET to name few. He’s also been featured in ad campaigns for Brands such as Reebok, Black Pyramid , Vinci Wearable, Guinness and many more.

 Wendell has also done some acting in various off- broadway plays in NYC some of which were part of NYMF (New York Musical Festival) ; an annual festival held in NYC.  You can catch Wendell modeling for popular brands such as Reebok and catch him traveling all over the world and teaching dance workshops through Redbull sponsorships at various IVY league universities (including Harvard, MIT, BU and Berkely College). He has also enjoyed teaching dance classes at various prestigious dance centers such as Broadway Dance Center, Peridance Capezio Center, Colgate University, Dancing Preachers International Conference, World Changers (Indiana),  Movement Lifestyle (L.A.), and  Millennium Dance Complex LA. 

Wendell’s biggest accomplishment to date is performing for Prince William and Dutchess Kate Middleton of England when they visited The Door NYC. Wendell is a very notable, versatile and creative choreographer and teacher, holding weekly Dancehall, Hiphop, Soca, Afrodance,  Freestyle and Breaking classes throughout the NYC tri-state area to students from the age of 3 and up since 2014.
