SoBoGreen - Fall 2026

SoBoGreen is working with Baltimore City Rec & Parks/TreeBaltimore to improve the tree canopy along Key Highway, a gateway into downtown Baltimore. We will be removing cobblestones (also known as Belgian Block) so the City can grind out stumps and replant the beds with new trees.

Meet at the Baltimore Museum of Industry, where e will split into smaller groups. By removing the cobblestones in the tree beds, we will make grinding out the old stumps easier and improve water infiltration for new trees. We will pry the stones out and pile them up for re-use by CHAP (Commission for Historical and Architectural Preservation).
All ages welcome. All tools provided. Bring gloves, water, and your muscles!
