Director: Angele Diabang
Synopsis

Widowed during her period of mourning, Ramatoulaye, portrayed by Amélie Mbaye, delivers an intimate reflection on love, friendship, and betrayal as she navigates life after the death of her husband. Guided by the creative vision of Angèle Diabang, the acclaimed director, writer, and producer, the story unfolds through Ramatoulaye’s deeply personal letter, capturing the emotional weight of loss and the quiet strength required to rebuild.

As memories resurface, she confronts the choices and societal expectations that shaped her marriage to Modou, played by Serge Abessolo, whose actions force her to reckon with questions of dignity, independence, and identity. Through grief and reflection, Ramatoulaye’s journey becomes a powerful meditation on resilience, illuminating the enduring bonds of friendship and the evolving role of women in a changing society.
