About this Event
So Boom, Check It is a multidisciplinary cultural platform producing exhibitions, conversations, screenings, performances and community experiences centered on storytelling, history and contemporary culture. The SBC Takeover of DUYE House on Governors Sisland
Located within the historic Colonel's Row district on Governor's Island, DUYE House occupies one of the Island's grand red-brick officers' residences.
At the center of the activation is Fragments Of Revolution, an exhibition that explores the complexities, contradictions, and unfinished promises of revolution. As America reflects on 250 years of history, the exhibition asks whose stories are celebrated, whose are omitted, and how communities continue to define freedom, identity, and change in the present day.
