Looks like we have plenty of snow for an early Snowshoe hike. So strap on your snow shoes and let's hit the trail this weekend. Timbers Recreational Area has some nice wooded trails and field areas. It is located in Long Lake Township. (It is the former Girl Scout Camp).
We will hike about 2.5 to 3 miles though the woods and fields. We will also visit 2 Lakes along the trail. Wear warm boots and bring your own snow shoes. Some of the trails may be rough in spots and there is one hill. Dress for the weather conditions and bring your own hot tea/cocoa.
We will hike in light snow, but this event will be rescheduled if the forecast is for severe weather.
Please RSVP so we know to meet you at the Trail Head . All participants will need to sign a liability form for Sierra Club. If Severe weather on Saturday, the event will be rescheduled. Contact Vicki at [email protected] for more information.
