Talk on "Towards Unified Knowledge Platforms: Evolving Storage Systems for Generative & Agentic AI" by Raja Murugan, Principal Software Engineer, HPE

Abstract: The demand for more intelligent, integrated, and efficient methods to store, manage, and extract value from data is reshaping the storage market landscape.

Traditionally distinct markets—such as metadata management, data catalogs, data classification, data enrichment, data management, and traditional storage—are beginning to converge in the emerging data intelligence storage market.

HPE Alletra MP X10000 Data Intelligence feature enables customers to extract greater value from their data, innovatively enriching data directly in the storage and making data AI-ready in near real time. This significantly accelerates the time to first insight, enabling faster and more efficient decision-making.

Talk on "Towards Unified Knowledge Platforms: Evolving Storage Systems for Generative & Agentic AI" by Manoj Srivatsav, HPE

Abstract: Bug detection and triaging in complex storage systems is significantly more challenging than in general-purpose software due to the tight integration with OS kernels, device drivers, and hardware, which introduces complex concurrency, logging, and operational flow issues across hundreds of threads and processes. Existing AI-based bug-tracking solutions fall short in this domain because they are typically trained on general codebases and lack the contextual depth needed to navigate these intricacies. To bridge this gap, the proposed approach leverages high-level integration test cases written in human-readable languages like Python, which capture end-to-end system behavior far more effectively than unit tests. These integration test insights are converted into structured knowledge graphs, giving AI bug-triaging agents a richer understanding of system interactions, inter-process communications, and hardware events. Early results indicate that this fusion of code analysis and integration-test-based knowledge substantially improves both the speed and accuracy of bug identification, promising to transform how bugs are tracked and resolved in complex storage software systems.

SNIA Talk on "How Agentic AI Transforms the Role of Storage" presented by Sriram Popuri, NetApp

Abstract: As Agentic AI moves beyond foundational theory into real-world deployment, the focus shifts to the architectural and operational enablers that make scalable intelligence possible. This session explores the emergence of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication as critical components for orchestrating distributed, autonomous systems—laying the groundwork for the Agentic Mesh, where agents collaborate, adapt, and self-optimize across domains.

We’ll examine how Agentic AI operates in, on, with, and for storage systems—transforming them from passive data repositories into active participants in decision-making and workflow execution. From client-side perspectives, we’ll discuss how agentic interactions reshape expectations around latency, autonomy, and data locality, and what this means for future-ready infrastructure.
