Sneaker Dreams & Social Deeds Sneaker Ball

The Sneaker Dreams and Social Deeds Sneaker Ball is designed to support the development of Black professionals in the fields of social work, community planning, and social justice. Each year, the Atlanta Chapter of the Association of Black Social Workers (ABSW) sponsors the William Bradley Scholarship, providing financial assistance to a Black student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
The proceeds from the Sneaker Ball will enable the scholarship amount for the William Bradley Scholarship to increase from $250 to $500 per year. Additionally, funds raised will contribute to the establishment of the $250 Bessie Shavers Scholarship, which supports undergraduate and graduate students in social justice programs.
