Honey Run delivers a delightful blend of thoughtful original folk music, rapid picking, and spirited old bluegrass tunes. Kat Baker and Owen Ragland's beautiful harmonies are perfectly complemented by the fiddle, guitar, and mandolin. The rich, full sound that supports Kat's insightful lyrics and catchy melodies ranges from tender moments to outright fun. Their eclectic mix of old-timey roots, Americana sounds, and fast country picking creates a truly unique and memorable experience.
Though Honey Run is a brand new group formed in 2020, the band has been busy performing and honing their set playing countless shows over the past few years. Honey Run performed at Strawberry Music Festival 2022 which that same year hosted such legendary acts as: Sam Bush, Watkins Family Hour, The Steep Canyon Rangers, The Rainbow Girls, John Craigie, and so many more. The duo was asked back the following year, this time to open the main stage for acts like Della Mae, and Younder Mountain Stringband.
Honey Run has also performed across California and the Pacific Northwest playing at: The Merced Theatre; The Fallon House Theater, Columbia CA; Sam Bonds Garage, Eugene OR; The Plough and Stars, San Fransisco CA; Secret Trail Brewing, Chico CA; The Owl N' Thistle in Seattle WA; The Landmark Saloon, Portland OR; opening for such acts as AJ Lee and Blue Summit. Summit, Jenny Tolman, Jimbo Scott, Pat Hull, Sourdough Slim & Robert Armstrong, Cactus Bob & Prairie Flour
