Love 'em? Afraid of 'em? Education is the key to identifying snakes that share our coastal habitats and reducing fears. Join Becky Savage of the NC Wildlife Resources Commission to learn more about our reptilian neighbors. We will explore biology, behavior, and the ecological role they play in our natural world. Live snakes will be available for those that wish to hold or get closer to develop a better understanding of our vilified snake species. All ages welcome!
About the Instructor: Becky Skiba works for NC Wildlife Resources Commission as a District 2 Engagement Program Specialist serving 12 coastal counties. She teaches wildlife skills; facilitates conservation management techniques such as hunter education, boater safety, and more; along with training formal and nonformal educators with the Project WILD suite curriculum.
