The J.F. Glidden Homestead & Historical Center is excited to announce that tickets are now available for the second annual SNAG (Saturday Night at Glidden) fundraiser, taking place on Saturday, September 27, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Glidden Homestead, 921 W. Lincoln Highway, DeKalb.
This unique event offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience the historic site where Joseph F. Glidden invented "The Winner" barbed wire, forever changing the American West. Attendees will have the chance to celebrate at the site where history happened, all while enjoying music, food, and exciting prizes, with proceeds benefiting the preservation and operations of this landmark. Tickets are now available at GliddenHomestead.org.
“We are thrilled to invite the community back for the second annual SNAG fundraiser,” said Jessi Haish LaRue, Glidden Homestead executive director. “This event is a fantastic way to immerse yourself in the rich history of the Glidden Homestead and experience firsthand the very place where Joseph Glidden’s invention shaped history. It’s a fun evening, and your participation will help us continue preserving this important site.”
