Smooth Avenue Band is a musical ensemble featuring JT and fan favorite Beverly Carothers on vocals. They are backed by an assortment of horns, guitars, and keys.While some bands sprinkle in Motown tunes alongside R&B songs from other labels, for this show, Smooth Avenue will be performing ONLY songs produced and performed by artists on the Motown labels—including Tamla, Gordy, Gladys Knight & the Pips, Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, Stevie Wonder, The Four Tops, The Spinners, Michael Jackson/The Jackson 5, The Supremes, and others.
If it ain't Motown, they ain't doing it!
