FOR ENGLISH SEE BELOW!
Udforsk kunsten og SMK i anderledes rammer. Gratis!

Explore the art in new and informal ways!

Mino Denmark + I Tråd Med Verden + Danish Dance Theater + Amalie & Floras Middage + Unges Laboratorium for Kunst x Headspace + lots of art and much, much more.

Join us when we once again open the doors to the popular art event SMK Fridays. An evening of surprising art experiences, music, cold drinks and free admission to the entire museum. This evening in particular, we focus on communities. Communities in art, in society, between people – and between us and nature. We also take a closer look at what communities leave behind when they disappear, explore traces of communities in the art collection and examine how communities can also be frightening and exclusionary.

During the evening, you can experience nine dancers from Danish Dance Theatre take the stage or join young volunteers from the interest organization Mino Denmark as they give their personal take on community based on self-selected artworks in the collection. Throughout the evening, you can also embroider in the company of the social economy company I Tråd Med Verden or immerse yourself in conversation salons about art’s special ability to create conversations, understanding and cohesion.

Tonight in particular, you can also take part in a culinary performance installation when Amalie and Flora’s Dinners invite you to a community-building ritual between towers of pancakes, apple butter and mountains of sugar. Or lean back in the museum’s soft seats as we invite you to a listening cinema with sound works from the ’70s about organic food.

As always, you can also experience SMK’s exhibitions in the evening hours and take part in sharp art talks. And if you need an art break, you can take a seat at the long tables in Skulpturgaden, where you can buy cold drinks and handheld food throughout the evening.

Look forward to an evening with a mix of conversations, performances, music, creative workshops and art talks – all in the middle of art and for free.
