There are a lot of talking heads that will tell us all the things to think, feel, see.... but they are talking at you, not to you, and you can't talk back. There are also a lot of people on social media who will argue and vent their spleen all over your memes. It isn't fun to talk to them either!
Do you want to talk about your feelings about the state of our politics in a safe space? Do you want to explore civic engagement without partisan pressure?
If you are like me and would like to talk about our political environment with people who are not going to vent their spleen all over me, or roll their eyes and tell me they have no idea what I am talking about.... This might be the event for you.
I invite you to come to the SMJ House to drink tea and just talk about your feelings about politics in a safe, nonpartisan, nonjudgmental environment. No agenda, just conversation.
