Chef Hunter Evans of The Mayflower Cafe and Elvie's Restaurant has an amazing five-course meal planned with a bourbon pairing from Cathead Distillery:

First Course- White Bean Minestrone: collard greens pistou, parmesan, country ham 'crumble'

Second Course- Kale Salad: brown butter vinaigrette, Louisiana satsuma, local golden beets, walnuts

Third Course- Mississippi Mushroom Toast: grilled sourdough, house-made rosemary ricotta, Mississippi mushrooms, cured duck yolk, honey

Fourth Course- Braised Short Rib: pomme purée, carrots, pearl onions, seasonal baby vegetables

Fifth Course- Blue Cheese Terrine: Alabama apples, candied pecans

Bourbon pairing included; live music throughout the evening.
