There may not be fireworks in Plainfield this year, but we still have a lot to celebrate. Thanks to our wonderful parishioners, our faith community is standing strong.
We welcome you to join us for a Parish Community Picnic on Saturday, June 26, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on the north end of the parish parking lot. We'll be cooking up some picnic favorites on the grill and serving some tasty side dishes and desserts. For everyone’s safety, all food and drink items will be individually wrapped.
The festivities will include live music by our choir and an opportunity for fellowship with friends. We’ll start the evening with a 4:00 p.m. outdoor bi-lingual Mass.
We’ll have some tables set up for dinner, but we request that you please bring your own lawn chair. You may also bring a blanket and dine on the lawn. If you prefer to supply your own food, you are welcome to do so.
We will be following all current state guidelines for mask wearing and social distancing.
Whether you are planning to enjoy our food or your own, there is no cost for this event.
Please be sure to let us know how many of your family members will attend.
Go to smip.org/picnic to register by June 21. Not a regular internet user? Please contact Laura Van Ham at 815-436-2651, x887.
We look forward to seeing you on June 26th!
