SME Tour of Southern Manufacturing Technologies

SMT is an AS9100 and ISO 9001 registered precision machine shop that specializes in precision machined components and assemblies primarily for the aircraft, aerospace, defense industries, and medical industries, including flight safety-critical hardware. With over 40 years in business, their ability to machine parts to ultra-tight tolerances sets them apart in the industry.

Its 20,000 sq ft facility serves as a launch pad for manufacturing parts used in missile systems, on space shuttles and the Mars Rovers, on commercial and military aircraft, in mission-critical systems, and in medical devices – they even make parts for combat robots on the Discovery Channel® series BattleBots®.
