The MOIRO (Music of Irish Origin) stage, presented by Smashing Buttons, is the space where trad and contemporary artists will unite for a two-day genre-bending session. Expect explosive blends of Trad, Rock, Hip-Hop, Funk, Soul, Techno, Punk and the Blues, as Northern Ireland’s musical heritage is celebrated through the local sounds and influences of the last 80+ years.The Trad Folkin’ Rocks crew will guide you through sessions with the very best of Northern Ireland’s new generation of talent.

We will witness the poignant and powerful vocal talent of Njambi; Rory Gallagher’s favourite guitarist Paul Rose, and fresh from their BPI-funded tour of Ireland, Dark Tropics will close out the evening with their spellbinding blend of cinematic Alt-Pop.

Hosted by Downtown Radio stalwart Neal McClelland, the programme reflects the many ways tradition can be preserved, reinterpreted and shared, creating an inclusive showcase that honours the past whilst embracing the now.
