Learn from Wayne Pope, adjunct associate professor of photography at Lansing Community College and teacher of a variety of classes in the LCC Adult Enrichment Program, how to take better photos using your smartphone on an interactive mile-long walk through historic downtown Howell. Attendees will have the opportunity to photograph a selection of historic buildings in Howell. The planned walk will primarily cross paved sidewalks, but a small number of stops will require stepping onto grass. The walk is not technically difficult but participants should be mobile under their own power.
The tour will conclude at the Library where participants can peruse their photos and enjoy some pizza and pop.
You will need to bring your own smartphone or mobile device and a desire to explore, learn, and have fun!
Registrants must sign a liability waiver to participate in the event.
Registration is required. https://howelllibrary.libcal.com/event/12883044
The library closes on Fridays at 4:00pm. Seating begins 15 minutes before the program starts, at 3:45pm. Attendees may enter the building through the Clinton Street doors up to 4:00pm when the library closes. Doors will lock at 4:00pm.
In the event of inclement weather, an intermediate smartphone photography class will be held in the Meabon Room.
