Voices of Hope is excited to announce a new weekly SMART Recovery meeting at our Elkton location. “SMART 7 Survivors” is held every Thursday from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at 227 Howard Street Elkton, MD 21921.What is Smart Recovery?
It’s a science-based program designed to empower individuals to overcome addictive behaviors and lead fulfilling lives. SMART Recovery is the leading, evidence-informed approach to overcoming addictive behaviors and leading a balanced life. SMART is stigma-free and emphasizes self-empowerment. No matter what recovery pathway you follow, SMART Recovery meetings can be beneficial.
SMART Recovery is an evidenced-informed recovery method grounded in Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), that supports people with substance dependencies or problem behaviors to:
Build and maintain motivation
Cope with urges and cravings
Manage thoughts, feelings and behaviors
Live a balanced life
