Smart Cycling Workshop

Become a better, safer, smarter cyclist in this free workshop!

If you are just starting to bike or need some tips to stay safe while riding, please join us on Saturday, January 7th from 10am to 2pm at the Culver-Palms Family YMCA.

It will be a great time to equip yourself in the New Year & build awareness on safe cycling with a bit of safety education, learn new skills and practice riding on city streets with trained instructors! This is also a great chance for families who ride together to refresh their knowledge and skills.

One of the biggest barriers to cyclists riding more frequently is a lack of confidence riding in traffic. This comprehensive workshop covers the rules of the road, safety techniques and essential emergency maneuvers, in addition to bike selection, helmet fitting and pre-ride cycling essentials.

Completion of this class may also qualify you to earn extra income teaching additional safety courses and is the first step towards becoming certified as a League Cycling Instructor (LCI) further expanding your teaching and advocacy options.
