Small Talk Connect: Connect 4 Tournament for Industry Professionals

Join us for our next Small Talk Connect event at FAO Midtown, one of Houston's premier gaming bar arcades! Our last two events saw professionals from various industries coming together, and every attendee left with valuable connections, insights, and unforgettable memories. Whether you’re an aspiring community builder, a tech professional, a creative, or just someone who loves a good game night, this event is for you.

Event Highlights:

• Arcade Gameplay: Experience FAO's legendary arcade! Play, compete, and network in a relaxed, fun-filled environment.
• Connect 4 Tournament: Compete in our best-of-three Connect 4 rounds for a chance to win! Winners advance in a thrilling tournament bracket. From the second round onward, players will face off in a best 3 out of 5 series.
• Cross-Networking with a Twist: Hence the name small talk—we're focusing on meaningful conversations that push you to think about your future and how others in the room can help make it happen. Paired participants will connect by sharing their goals, followed by gameplay to see who moves to the next round.
• Media Station: Meet the finalists and hear their stories! The top competitors will get a spotlight moment to share their journey, their brand, and the connections they made during the event. Be sure to check out our community member interviews from past events on our YouTube channel!
• Free Media and Event planning consulting throughout event with organizer John P. from B2C Creative and venue hosts FAO
• 🍸 Welcome Cocktail: Arrive early (before 8:00 PM) and enjoy a complimentary cocktail on us.

What to Expect:

• 7:30 PM - Doors Open: Guests arrive, check in, and receive name tags with one of four color-coded labels for pairing.
• 7:45 PM - Welcome & Sponsor Introduction: We kick off the night by welcoming our guests and other sponsors, and outlining the evening’s activities.
• 7:55 PM - Cross-Networking & Goal Sharing: Attendees will pair up based on color codes to discuss their 2025 goals—this is your chance to find meaningful connections that go beyond the surface.
• 8:00 PM - Connect 4 Tournament Begins: Compete in best 2 out of 3 rounds, with Rock, Paper, Scissors deciding who goes first and the second player choosing the color. Winners advance to the next round, eventually moving to best 3 out of 5 as the competition intensifies.
• 9:45 PM - Championship Match: The finalists face off, followed by a final introduction of their brands and our sponsors.
• 10:00 PM - Networking & Wrap-Up: DJ, arcade play, and open networking to celebrate the evening’s connections.
• 10:15 PM - Media Station Interviews: Key competitors and finalists will share their brand stories, giving attendees a chance to learn from their journeys.
