Small Kitchen Radio has been rocking Saskatoon for 15 years. We've made it our point of pride to make the best rock songs we can, to cover some of the best rock songs ever written, and to give back to the community by supporting the Saskatoon Food Bank, the LGBTQ2+ Community, and creating a safe space for those with mental health challenges. Now we have some good news and bad news.
Good News: We have a few new bangers to release and will set them free on November 7th!
Bad News: This release party will be our last live show.
Joining us to celebrate our 3 albums and a few old favourites will be Saskatoon's gypsy-jazz-rock flag-bearers The Whiskey Jerks, who also just released their 3rd album Solid Gold this summer. Their sometimes klezmer, sometimes Led Zeppelin-esque rock style is quite decidedly a one-of-a-kind gem in the Canadian scene. And if that isn't the core mandate of being a band, I can't tell you what is.
Also joining us to celebrate will be one of the finest young guitar-stars in the Saskatoon scene, Torrin Staples. He's putting in the hours and making sure Saskatoon stays guitar-strong, while packing a great set of singing pipes.
