Small Frye is turning 10! To celebrate, we are revisiting some of our favorite books from the last decade and diving deep into artworks from the Frye Collection. Join us the first Wednesday of the month for interactive storytelling with Seattle Children’s Theatre and hands-on art-making led by the Frye. On February 1, we will be exploring the painting "Las Piñatas" (The Piñatas), ca. 1960-71 by Larry Burnham from the Frye Founding Collection and making some textured sculptures.
Our trained teaching artists plan this program to be developmentally appropriate for ages 2-5. Small Frye is a free program, but space is limited. Pre-registration is required and will open one month prior to the event.
Doors open at 10 am, the program begins at 10:15 am and lasts about one hour. Travel in our neighborhood can be a challenge, please plan your visit accordingly. Doors will close at 10:30 am and no late admission will be permitted.
To keep our community safe, everyone ages two and up will be required to wear a mask throughout the program, regardless of vaccination status.
