Small Eyes, Gay Heart is a stand up special written by Diana Hong.
Through her lens as a queer "gyopo" (Korean American) and former pro golfer, Diana Hong explores identity, family expectations, and loss with humor and heart. This show is a reflection on belonging—and embracing every messy part of who we are.
Bio: Diana is a Korean American lesbian comic whose grounded presence and calm delivery catch audiences off guard in the best way. Her storytelling is smart, sincere, and often surprisingly emotional. She tackles grief, identity, and cultural absurdities with heart and a deadpan edge that makes you laugh first and think later.
Whether she’s unpacking family dynamics or challenging the emotional weight of a carabiner, Diana’s comedy is rooted in radical empathy and observational brilliance.
Diana has been seen on Fuse TV and "Newcomers" on VEEPS. She has also performed at major festivals including Big Sky Comedy Festival, SF Sketchfest, Netflix is a Joke, and was named Best of Fest at 2022 Big Pine Comedy Festival.
Opener: Bri Pruett
