Small Business Skills Summit
About this Event
One Day. Six Expert Sessions. Practical Skills and Useful Connections.
Running a small business means there is always something asking for your attention. You are making decisions, watching the numbers, marketing the business, looking after customers, improving systems and trying to keep pace with changing technology, new opportunities and the everyday demands of running the business.
The Small Business Skills Summit gives you one valuable day to step away from the day-to-day, look at your business with fresh eyes and focus on what will help you move forward.
Join us at the Amora Hotel Riverwalk Melbourne in Richmond for a full day of practical learning, fresh ideas, networking and real conversations with people who understand the challenges and opportunities that come with running a small business.
Across six expert sessions, you will explore business strategy, AI planning, financial understanding, legal fundamentals, LinkedIn authority and practical marketing, with each presenter sharing useful knowledge and clear actions you can take back into your business.
This is not a day of vague inspiration or information without direction. It is for small business owners who want to learn, ask questions, make useful connections and leave feeling clearer about where their business stands, what deserves their attention and what their next move could be.
What You Can Expect
Throughout the day, our presenters will share practical ideas and real-world knowledge to help you:
- Make stronger and more informed business decisions.
- Understand what is happening inside your business.
- Strengthen the foundations that support your next stage.
- Improve the way your business operates.
- Understand the real cost of doing business.
- Create greater visibility, authority and marketing momentum.
- Use AI and emerging technology with greater purpose.
- Identify what deserves your attention next.
The aim is to help you cut through the noise, understand what matters for your business now and choose your next steps with greater confidence.
Networking Is Built Into the Day
Small business can feel isolating, particularly when you are the person responsible for making the decisions, finding the answers and keeping everything moving, which is why networking and real conversation are built into the Summit rather than treated as something that happens around the edges.
There will be time throughout the day to meet other business owners, speak with our presenters and create useful connections during morning tea, networking breaks, lunch, table conversations and the informal moments in between sessions.
You do not have to arrive knowing anyone or consider yourself a confident networker. Bring your business cards, come ready to start a few conversations and know that there will be plenty of opportunities to use them.
