The legendary hip-hop group Slum Village will be performing live in Dortmund, Germany at the JunkYard on May 5th, 2024. The show is part of their upcoming European "Since 92" tour and will be a rare opportunity to see these pioneers of the Detroit hip-hop scene live in concert.
Slum Village from Detroit, Michigan, formed in 1992. The group is known for its eclectic blend of jazz, funk, and soul, and its lyrics that often deal with social and political issues. The group's most famous members are J Dilla (James Yancey), who died in 2006, and T3 (Terry Valentine).

Slum Village has released six studio albums, and their music has been sampled by many other artists, including Kanye West, Common, and Talib Kweli. They are considered one of the most influential hip-hop groups of all time.
