To sustain our health and wellbeing through all the seasons and cycles of life, requires that we tune into our own inner landscapes. We are a mirror to our natural surroundings, and Winter is the most Yin of all the seasons. This is a time to allow for our bones to rest and our ears to listen. Like a seed underground, we require our own sort of gestation period. Forcing or pushing when the energy isn’t there or the time isn’t right, depletes our reserves and hinders our potential. Within rest lies a tremendous amount of power and wisdom. On this Black Friday, we’re stepping away from the chaos and creating space to slow down, tune in, and nourish ourselves. Guided by Shannon & Holly, this 3-hour session will begin with an introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophy followed by a slow, soothing flow designed to provide a well of reserves for the winter months. We’ll spend the second half of practice surrendering to stillness and settling into yin postures. Class will end with guided meditation to awaken the imagination. Shopping can wait; this feel-good class is like a healing balm for the soul.
