Slow Down at SAMA to experience art in a new way.
Guided by a pair of SAMA docents, each Slow Down at SAMA tour begins with the practice of slow looking—taking time for careful observation and reflection—followed by a thoughtful, facilitated conversation. Together, we’ll explore just two works of art that share a meaningful connection, allowing you to notice details, uncover stories, and engage deeply with the art and each other.
Slow looking encourages mindfulness, sparks insight, and transforms the way we experience art. Join us to pause, connect, and see more than you ever imagined.
As a part of our family friendly Second Sunday activities, this Slow Down at SAMA tour is intended for families with children 12 and older.
In order to ensure an optimal experience, capacity is limited to 12 participants. Places are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please check in at the front desk to secure your spot.
