About the Day

Slow Down and Soften is a half-day retreat designed to give you space to slow your pace and soften as we slowly prepare for winter.

We'll slow down the nervous system, soften tension and gently reset with nourishing and mindful practices. We'll start the afternoon with a dried flower wreath workshop, an opportunity to step into playful and creative curiosity, and then we'll soften with a 90 minute yin workshop designed to help soothe body mind and body.

Join me at Yoga Hero, Leeds Dock, for this chance to slow down and reflect as we feel the seasons shift. Refreshments and all equipment provided.

About your Facilitator

Hi, I'm Claire! I'm a 250hr qualified teacher who is trained in both Vinyasa and Yin Yoga, and I have been practicing yoga for over six years. Since immersing myself in the world of yoga, I has gained a practical toolkit to help gain more autonomy and power over my state of being after having been diagnosed with a number of chronic health conditions including Endometriosis, PMDD, and Fibromyalgia. I am passionate about sharing the tools that have helped me on my healing journey.

I have a specialism in making rest practices accessible, and have completed additional learning with the Accessible Yoga School. I am confidently able to work with those from disabled and marginalised communities and my teaching is trauma informed.

Yoga sessions with me have a focus on nourishment and healing, using slow and gentle movement and stillness to create an environment where the body and mind are calm and clear. I aim to empower people to discover their own autonomy, strength and confidence.

About the Venue

Yoga Hero is a peaceful studio based at Leeds Dock (near the Royal Armouries). It is my yoga-home as this is where I did my training and was also manager for 5 years. Yoga Hero is accessible and welcoming, with plenty of space for our activities and no-step access throughout.
