Join the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art for Slow Art Day 2024, a global event that celebrates looking at and loving art!
What is Slow Art Day?
Slow Art Day is an annual event in April that invites visitors to slow down with art. Participants are encouraged to spend several minutes with a single artwork and then discuss their experiences with other visitors. It’s that simple!
How does Slow Art Day work?
Find a local venue (that’s us!).
Visit us on Saturday, April 13, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., to look slowly at a few pieces of art for ten minutes each (remember, museum admission is always free!).
Discuss your experience with other visitors and museum staff—more “formal” discussions will take place at 11:30am and 3pm!
Have fun!
Museum staff will be in the galleries with free mini-sketchbooks and pencils for visitors and to facilitate discussion. Seating provided.
